mihaJourney review 26 October 2026
Journey storyboard — proposed flow, not the working app. These are design examples and route annotations. They do not save data, sign anyone in, or activate a service.

ONE FAMILY. ONE CONSISTENT APP.

From first setup
to everyday confidence.

A parent should always know where they are, what happens next, and how to get back. This storyboard reconnects the agreed MIHA journey before the screens are rebuilt as one app.

“Connected” describes existing functionality, not this preview. All screen layouts shown here are proposed. Synthetic testing only; no clinical or production clearance.

01 / A CLEAR START

Later → Account & recovery

02 / THE FIRST CHILD

Two steps, then your food library.

Connected pieces · flow to unify

This is the direct answer to “what happens after I create a child?” Additional children, device access and familiar portions must not block the parent from continuing.

S1STEP 1 OF 2

Who are we tracking for?

Child’s display name
Date of birth optional
Time zone · UTC hours

Time zone keeps meals in the correct local day.

Save child & continue

Next → Prescribed allowance
Back → Family Home

S2STEP 2 OF 2

Enter their prescribed amount.

Use the daily protein amount supplied by the child’s care team. MIHA does not recommend a value.

Daily protein allowance grams
Confirm this is the care-team amount
Save & open food library

Next → Setup complete / Food library
Back → Child details
Set later → Food library, allowance “Not set”

S3SETUP COMPLETE

You’re ready to begin.

Your child is saved. Start with foods and portions your family can reuse in a daily meal plan.

SECTION 1 / CURRENT REVIEW

Food library & meal planning.

Proposed journey · not connected

Build a collection of reusable food components and their portions for the selected child. Choose from the shared catalogue or create your family’s own foods, then combine them into a daily meal plan.

Find or create foodCheck source & portionConfirm / overrideSave to My foodsBuild meal plan
L1YOUR FOOD LIBRARIES

Find something to build with.

Browse shared food catalogue
My foods · private family collection
Search food, brand or product

Browse categories and low-protein product collections, or choose a food already saved by your family.

“Low protein” helps discovery; it does not certify suitability for this child or for every portion. No universal threshold is assumed.

Select → Product & portion details
Create → Add my own food
Back → Selected child’s workspace

L2PRODUCT & PORTION

Keep the value and its basis together.

Exact product · Brand · Variant
Protein per 100 g / per labelled serving
Serving size & selected portion

Show the source and verification status. Calculate the selected portion from the stated basis; do not confuse dry/cooked food or a serving with the entire pack.

Next → Review protein & save
Back → Search results
Missing source → Add evidence; leave unknown values unknown

L3CREATE MY FOOD

Speak to fill text, or type.

Take food photo / choose photo
Speak to fill text
Type information
Food name · Ingredients · Preparation · Portion

Speech becomes editable text in the same fields used by keyboard entry. Review and correct those fields before saving. The food record is structured data, not a voice note.

For a packaged product, capture the product and its nutrition label. Check brand, variant, serving units and extracted values; retake an unreadable label. No audio is retained as the food record.

Next → Portion reference or protein review
Back / cancel → My foods without saving
Retake → Replace unclear photo

L4MY MEASURING METHODS

Choose how to measure.

Add or select a saved bowl, cup, spoon or measuring jug
Use a scale, labelled serving or package-piece count

Save multiple named methods with a photograph so a parent or child can choose the correct one. Keep its calibration and verification status with that item.

Selected vesselBlank standard-size
reference card

MIHA calculates the volume. The tool selects the best supported technique for the chosen vessel and available evidence: calibrated fill markings, fitted bowl geometry and food-surface segmentation, multiple views, or supported depth sensing. Guide capture automatically and request missing scale, depth or fill evidence.

For a new vessel, guide one-time calibration using photographs beside a known-size blank reference, additional views and measured reference fills where needed. Reuse the saved calibration on later occasions. The parent checks or corrects the result; they are not expected to calculate volume.

Show estimated volume, method and uncertainty. If evidence cannot support volume, ask for another measurement method rather than inventing a result. Scale readings and package counts retain their own units; converting volume to protein requires matching food data. These measurement techniques require validation before activation.

Next → Review tool-calculated portion & protein
Back → Food information
Add method → Guided setup → Save and select

L5GROWNIE REVIEW

Check, correct, then save.

Library / label evidence + AI suggestion
Proposed protein · Portion basis · Uncertainty
Grownie accepted or corrected value

AI and catalogue information help estimate the protein. The Grownie can override the suggestion, correct the portion, and confirm the final reusable food component.

Keep the original estimate, the accepted or corrected value, source and confirmation details. Parent confirmation is not clinical verification. If there is not enough evidence, save a draft that cannot supply a usable protein total.

Confirm & save to My foods

Next → My foods / Add to meal plan
Edit → Retain entered information
Cancel → No saved change

L6BUILD THE DAILY PLAN

Combine your food components.

Select a meal category, browse shared products or My foods, and add each component with its portion quantity. Reuse a food in another meal without recreating its record.

Food component + portion quantity
Planned protein per component & meal
Planned daily protein total

Adjust quantities, remove components, or replace a product. Show incomplete estimates explicitly rather than inventing a complete total.

Save → Daily meal plan
Back → My foods / catalogue
Later → Record what was actually eaten, separately

A saved plan does not add consumption to the daily ledger or reserve a medically safe amount. Planned totals and actual intake remain separate; actual intake is never capped.

03 / THE EVERYDAY DESTINATION

A proper app Home.

Layout proposed · totals connected

Later journey — retained for context and awaiting your next review. Keep the calm MIHA palette and cards, consistent navigation, and one selected child throughout the journey.

05 / SET UP WHEN YOU NEED IT

Optional, not obstacles.

Mixed foundations · journeys to build

These cards live in Family and can be opened later. Each has Save, Back and Not now. None requires adding a second child.

Child access

Parent-controlled access for the selected child on the separate child address.

Email + 4-character code journey needs its final security behaviour resolved before activation.

Set up access → check connection → Family

Familiar portions

Save a familiar cup, plate or labelled package pieces, with parent-controlled photographs. A palm can be used as a rough comparison.

Optional references; an uncalibrated photo cannot supply a reliable physical measurement.

Add reference → confirm details → Family

Another Grownie

Invite another adult and choose what they may manage. Ownership and sensitive recovery remain controlled.

Invitation, permissions and recovery takeover are not complete live flows.

Invite → recipient accepts → manage access

Notifications

Requests always appear inside MIHA. WhatsApp and email are optional and require verified parent setup.

External provider setup is separate; it must not block in-app requests.

Choose channels → verify → save preferences

06 / LEARNING AWAY FROM HOME

Child request → Grownie decision.

Agreed journey · not connected

The child experience stays on its own address. At a party or supermarket, the child can identify food and ask for help without receiving the parent’s account access.

  1. 01

    Capture or choose food

Take the package/food photo or select a saved item. Voice and “Look Again” ask for missing evidence. Camera estimates remain estimates.

Back: child Home · Retake or cancel available
  2. 02

    Understand the proposed portion

Use labelled pieces or an applicable family reference. Show uncertainty; do not promise a safe amount or infer scale from a grid alone.

Next: Send to Grownie · Back: improve food evidence
  3. 03

    Grownie reviews inside MIHA

The request appears in-app, with optional WhatsApp/email notification. Approve, adjust the portion with − / +, or decline, then send the decision.

Next: child sees decision · Back: review inbox
  4. 04

    Record what was actually eaten

Approval does not count as eating. The child separately reports consumption; uncertain intake remains visible for review, even if the amount exceeds the allowance or a request was declined.

Next: updated child Home and parent activity · No duplicated ledger entry

07 / THE REST OF THE AGREED PRODUCT

Keep the whole plan visible.

Later connected journeys

Landing, plans & coupons

Clear product introduction → plan selection → coupon → registration. Payments stay disabled until pricing and provider decisions are approved.

Account recovery & ownership

Lost email → approved recovery route → secure email replacement. Co-Grownie management changes require the agreed safeguards.

Help & support bot

Reach help from every main screen. The bot supports account and app use; it does not provide medical advice.

Exports, cancellation & deletion

12-month PDF export → subscription changes → 30-day export-only access where applicable → deliberately confirmed account deletion.

WHAT THIS REVIEW LOCKS

The journey before the next rebuild.

  • One selected child and one consistent parent navigation.
  • Every save has a visible destination; every form has a clear way back.
  • Optional setup never becomes an onboarding requirement.
  • The full first-child → first-saved-meal flow is tested together.
  • Existing secure services are retained; demo behaviour is never presented as connected.
